Online gambling

Gambling - pokerI’ve always liked a little flutter, but being out of work makes this far more difficult.  However, there is a way to take part in online gambling without spending any money.  Online casinos have options to play demo games where there is no actual money gambled and nothing is won or lost.  I simply get to play for the fun of it.

One of the options open to me for finding the right casino is UK Casino Online.  There are many different online casinos available, but I’m always drawn to those that have plenty of different games on offer as this means that I don’t get too drawn into one particular game and can spend a bit of time trying different ones.

Those who do want to spend a few pounds to see if they can make a few more will be able to take advantage of all the safety measures that have been put in place.  Nowadays, most casino accounts can be set up to include spending limits, a measure I would thoroughly recommend.  It is all too easy to spend far more than first intended.

The right security software is also essential.  I would want to know (and I’m sure that most other people would too) that when I top up my account there is no chance that others can see my bank or card details while I’m doing it.  This security software now comes as standard when gambling online and is necessary for that all-important peace of mind.

Making money without a job

Poker cards and chipsWhen I tell people how long I’ve been unemployed for they often wonder how I’m coping without any money coming in.

The truth is, even though I don’t have a proper job I’ve been making money doing various bits and bobs for different people and by playing a bit of poker online.

I know, I know, online gaming can be a bit of a risk, but I’m not playing with anything I can’t afford to lose, and I know when to quit. It’s worked out pretty well for me so far.

I don’t think poker can really be classed as gambling anyway, because I’m pretty good at it and it’s all about skill and strategy.

It’s also good fun and profitable, which is a nice combination. One of my friends is a professional poker player and he’s making a good living out of it. I like that idea, but my face is a massive giveaway when I play in live games. I can’t help grinning like an idiot when I know I’ve got a good hand.

My poker income has been complimented by various tasks, like washing cars, mowing lawns and cleaning windows. I’ve become a bit of a handyman for my neighbours.

I can’t wait to get a proper job, but I know that even the steadiest job can suddenly disappear. If you’ve got bills to pay, being unemployed is a lot more damaging than it currently is for me.

So I’m also using my extra spare time to learn about forex trading. My thinking is that I’ll be able to use this to supplement my income in the future or as a fall back if I’m ever unemployed again.

At the moment, I’m not risking any money, because it’s pretty complex and there’s a lot to learn. I’m using demo accounts and trying out different strategies.

I know it’s probably different investing with real money, but I’m getting pretty good at it. I’ve been practicing for a while now, but I’m not going to rush into using real money until I’m 100% sure I’m ready.

Anyway, enough writing; those windows don’t wash themselves…

Playing online blackjack

It’s no secret that I enjoy gambling every now and then.  Whilst I usually head to a casino with friends, occasionally I will venture online and have a little gamble alone.  I’m used to playing poker online, and I play blackjack in casinos, but I’ve never played the game over the internet until the other day.

I started off playing with a few demo accounts on various websites.  It took me a while to get into the swing of the game.  Playing online has a completely different vibe when you are controlling the cards digitally.  I have to admit that I wasn’t enjoying it.  Just when I was about to give up I noticed a website that I hadn’t yet tried. This website was a blackjack specific website.  All of the others were general casino gaming sites, so I thought I’d give it a whirl.

The website I tested was called Live Blackjack Casinos.  It provided me with a completely different experience to all of the other online casino websites.  What I liked the most about it was that the players were provided with the chance to gamble via a webcam service. This means that you actually see the dealer on the screen.  This felt more like playing in a real casino and created the same atmosphere.  In fact, after a few minutes I literally forgot that I was playing online!

If you enjoy a game of blackjack every now and then and if you’d like to try to win some cash online, then Live Blackjack Casino is without a doubt the best option.  Luckily for me, I managed to win a few games and now have a fairly sizeable cheque on its way in the post!  Not bad for an unemployed guy enjoying a night’s gaming.

Belle Rock it

Those of you who read my blogs will know that I like to find the best sites to indulge my bingo urges. During a search for a decent bingo site, I found a site that didn’t actually offer bingo. I was just about to go to bed when I changed my mind and decided to have a quick game of cards or something.

The site is called Belle Rock Entertainment. Even though it doesn’t offer bingo, the site has turned out to be rather useful. It is a review site rather than a gaming site. Even though I have come across quite a few of these whilst on bingo-fuelled nights at the laptop, this one caught my attention.

The best UK slots, poker, roulette, scratch cards (which caught my eye, so I decided not to play poker in the end), blackjack and many other casino-based games are to be found in great detail on this online casino review site.

Rock and win

As well as reviews of the sites, there are listings detailing the best current jackpots and the online casinos that offer them. The site also has a page detailing the various rates and types of bonuses that are available from the best casinos online.

Another thing that caught my eye with Belle Rock is the pay out potential for someone who focuses on his or her game. The progressive jackpots detailed on the review site state that the highest pay out awarded to a single winner is a whopping £6.3 million.

I did eventually find a game of bingo; however, the scratch cards are cool and well worth trying if you’ve never done them before. All in all, this place is quite handy, so I recommend that any online players who like a flutter give it a shot.
